Robin Winter - Canada

 

 

 

In 1987, Began breeding under the kennel name of Narnia to produce working German Shepherds,

I competed in local and national level obedience competitions.

 

In 1990, Purchased and imported my first Czech bloodline German Shepherd.

 

In 1999 Valiant Val von Narnia was the #3 German Shepherd for Obedience in Canada.

 

In 2003 Began competing in Schutzhund.

 

In 2007 Wichita von Narnia placed 14th at the Canadian Nationals.

 

In 2008 Wichita von Narnia placed 12th at the Canadian Nationals.

 

In 2009 Started the Central New Brunswick Schutzhund Club and hold the position of training director.

 

In 2010, Wichita von Narnia and Dix Z Perstatskeho mlyna placed second and fourth at the Eastern Canada Regional Championships.

 

In 2010, Became an accredited helper, club level.

 

In 2010, Became the first Canadian handler to have two dogs qualify for Team Canada to the WUSV with Wichita and Dix, with their third and fifth place finishes at the Canadian Nationals.

 

In 2010, Went to the WUSV with Wichita von Narnia (second place Canadian score). Dix was my reserve dog, also having qualified for the team.

 

To date, I have trained and titled over 25 different dogs in Schutzhund, achieving multiple SchH 3 titles, and many High Scores/High in Trials along the way. Since 1992, I have regularly supplied Law Enforcement and Border Patrol Forces throughout North America with service dogs and offered consultation services on training Police Service Dogs.

 

I have assisted numerous other handlers in training and handling skills, and have conducted training seminars nationally and internationally.

 

Her accomplishments

 

1990 – Multiple high in trial and high in class awards with German Shepherds and English Springer Spaniels in Obedience competition.

 

1990 - #3 English Springer Spaniel in Canada (obedience).

 

1992 – Multiple high in class and high in trial awards with German Shepherds in Obedience competition. Sold my first dogs to police for service work.

 

1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999 – Multiple high in class awards at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada National Obedience competitions.

 

1999 - #3 German Shepherd in Canada (obedience).

 

2000, 2001, 2002 – Multiple high in class awards at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada National Obedience competitions.

 

2003 – Acquired my first SchH I title, going High in Trial.

 

2004  - 2006 – Acquired numerous further Schtuzhund titles on different German Shepherds, with multiple High awards for tracking, obedience, protection, High in Trial.

 

2007 – Placed 8th at the Ontario Regional Championships, and 14th at the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada Nationals.

 

2008 – Placed 6th at the Eastern Canada Regional Championships, and 12th at the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada Nationals.

 

2009 – Multiple High in Trial awards with different German Shepherds, including 2nd place at the Eastern Canada Regional Championships (SchH2) and 4th place at the Eastern Canada Regional Championships (SchH3).

 

2010 – 2nd and 4th at the Eastern Canada Regional Championships (both SchH 3), 3rd and 5th at the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada National Championships, competed at the WUSV 2010 in Sevilla, Spain, 61st overall, tied for top Canadian score. Multiple High in Trial awards with different German Shepherds at club trials.
